Ferarris
A car sprite based on the Ferrari F40 (I think, I ain't so good with cars), made for an abandoned top down racing RPG that Hyun of Eo and I havd plans for.  The color variants haven't been fixed yet and so theres a few contrast issues.

Name: Tanks Date: Nov 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
Tanks
Some tanks I did for a friend who just needed some top down tanks with seperate turret pieces to test an engine they were making. The shell is included and quite large so it's very visible when playing, and the round thing in the top left corner is a mine the tanks would lay.

Name: Zonda Date: Sep 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
Zonda
Top down Pagini Zonda done as practice of shiny metal pixelling. A little mishapen but served it's purpose.

Onslaught Ships
A couple of battlecraft sprites for an abandoned game called Onslaught which was an arena shooter. A much better total revision of the ship was done in 2006 and appears in the game Return to Sector 9 by Pug Fugly Games as the 'Junkyard Jackal'.

Hiro Concept
This here's the concept idle animation I did a while ago for the Switchblade Alpha project I'm working on.  It's a simple lil thing that I tried to get that kind of 'ready to fight' stance that most beat 'em up sprites have.  The headband does need fixing though.  It doesn't flap very convincingly.

Name: Feral Wee! Date: Sep 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
Feral Wee!
This was for a Pixelation fad called Wee! (now part of Pixel Joint) where a small chibi template was supplied and people were asked to pixel characters using it whether they be from comics, movies, TV, music or original creations.  This is my character Feral in his 2003 design shrunken down to fit the Wee! template.

Name: ThunderCats Wee! Date: Sep 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
Lion-O Wee!Cheetara Wee!Panthro Wee!Tygra Wee!Pumyra Wee!Mumm-Ra Wee!
More Wee! character submissions, this time with the 80's cartoon heroes the ThunderCats, Lion-O, Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra, Pumyra and the evil Mumm-Ra! Note: Mumm-Ra was done a short while later which is why his shading style is a tad different.

Tiny Ship
A small spaceship concept sprite I did for a cellphone shoot 'em up project I unfortunately had to decline shortly after.

Name: Beverly Hills Cop Game Portraits Date: Jun 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
Beverly Hills Cop Portraits
These were part of a freelance project I was doing for a cellphone game company's project based on the Beverly Hills Cop movies.  Yeah Axel Foley is white in this game due to some reasons I never really understood bout likeness rights.  The large piece was for the title screen and the small faces were done for the in-game dialogue boxes.  I was never really happy with the hand holding the gun but I had a deadline.  Unfortunately the game was never released. The versions on the right were edits done in 2007 polishing up the graphics, increasing the contrast and making the cop more 'badass' looking for a mini project I did of the game renamed 'Rough Justice'

Beverly Hills Cop Game Mock Up Shot
Again this was part of the Beverly Hills Cop cellphone game project.  This was from the second set of levels which were loosely based on the theme park scenes in the movies.  Even though the game was cancelled it was great practice working with small sizes and limited tile sets which will aid me in future cellphone and possibly Game Boy projects. My color usage was pretty lousy here using too many colors for several things. I polished up the sprites a few months ago (2007) reducing all sprites to 16 color palettes and they actually turned out looking better.

Name: Van Helsing Date: May 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
Van Helsing
After seeing the trailer for Van Helsing I had hoped the Gameboy Advance game based on the movie would be a platform game in the style of the older traditional Castlevania games, make use of the grappling hook and the machine gun-like crossbow, and hopefully have great pixel work.  Unfortunately it was yet another sub standard game featuring bland jagged 3D rendered sprites so I took a shot at drawing my own VH sprite as practice for 16 color sprites.  Van Helsing himself is 15 colors while his crossbow is another 8 (both including transparency).  Oh and I don't care what the critics or anyone else says - I enjoyed the movie (well maybe except for that cheesy ending, heh).

My old website button that used part of the Wolverine image below.

Name: Wolverine Avatar Image Date: Mar 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
Wolverine Avatar
I felt I needed a new avatar for Pixelation so I decided to finally do a pixel of the guy who's name I use there.  I wanted to do a portrait but I was having problems with symmetry so I figured it could look cool as a half portrait like in Marvel Vs Capcom.  That meant I could also make the half bigger without worrying to much bout the avatar size limits.  His look is inspired by the modern scruffy hair 'rockstar/biker' kinda look he had in the X-Men comics at that time as apposed to the traditional pointy hair style.  Chose to add the stubble after playing the classic Lucasarts game Full Throttle a lot.

Lion-O 2004
Lion-O again this time trying to use what I had liked best about my previous attempts while trying a more subtle lower contrast palette.

Name: Switchblade Remake (Unfinished) Date: Feb 2004 Software: Paint Shop Pro 7 (PC)
SwitchBlade Concept Art
This was a character I designed for a Switchblade sequel before I just decided to remake the original game to start with.  This guy was influenced by the character Hiro from the original game but this storyline was to be set sometime after the events in the first game.  At time of writing this is by far the largest pixel piece I've attempted and I've tried to incorporate a lot of different materials to texture such as the skin, hair, the cybernetic arm and the body armor.  This one has still got a long way to go till completion but I doubt I ever will since I don't plan using the character anytime soon, preferring the later version of the actual character Hiro and doing an 'Ultimate style' SwitchBlade of sorts.
